Well, tomorrow is the big day! Nadine & Elijah will begin their first day at a real Elementary school! I was so excited to find these adorable, but not too cutesy, lunch bags on clearance at Target! They zipper closed, AND you can toss them in the washing machine! Love! They expand and then fold flat. I might just have to go back and buy a couple more. =) They hold a LOT which is good, because my kids' tummies hold a lot!
Our friend, Josh, brought his wood-splitter and helped us out with our big pile of wood! Nadine and Elijah enjoyed helping, while Elsie enjoyed watching from the window! Jack took a nap.
I'm not exactly sure how she managed to look like someone socked her in the eye! This was after eating banana chocolate chip bread. Yummy! Two loaves barely made it two days.
Last night was change-over night at Starbucks. A good night to close! Matthew brought home a dozen boxes of tea and some other fun goodies. Apparently Starbucks is switching over to loose-leaf tea now. So, the offer stands even MORE so than ever: Come on over for a cup of tea!!!
A year ago I bought these red shoes at a thrift store for $3. I've never had the opportunity to wear them yet! This weekend, when I found out that Matthew was wearing a red vest and tie with his tuxedo, I thought the perfect time had come to break them in! I honestly didn't have any outfit to match them, so by faith, the morning of the wedding we went out after breakfast with 30 minutes on hand. Matthew ran into Great Clips to get a haircut, and I ran to Target to find an outfit. I was thrilled to find a cute black dress, and used my Christmas gift card to purchase it. I zoomed by Great Clips to pick up Matthew, then we got ready in 10 minutes flat. We were at the church a few minutes late, but with still 45 minutes until the wedding started. Fun! =) Nothing like a little adrenaline rush to put a flush to your cheeks!

Live like you're dying
Ever since Matthew was diagnosed in November of '05 with Wegener's Disease, my motto has been to live like you're dying! I appreciate each day so much and pray that I'll never take living for granted! Or a clear nose! Each day is a gift... what adventure does today hold?
my love
